Ice Show Registration Guide

1. Registration and What Is Included

Registration opens Sunday, November 16, 2025.

Registration fee includes:

• Participation in all three Ice Show performances

• Two practices per number (not including run-throughs or dress rehearsal)

• Rehearsal period from April 7 to 23, 2026

• Costumes that skaters keep

• Photo Day session (date to be announced)

Tickets are not included and must be purchased separately. All ticket proceeds support the production of the Ice Show, including costumes, props, lighting, staging, ice time, and operations.

Refund Policy:

• Skaters may withdraw from registration while the registration period is still open and receive a refund.

• Once registration has closed, refunds are not permitted.

Where to Find Information

• Families will receive Ice Show information through email updates.

• All Ice Show details, schedules, and announcements will also be posted on the EYSC website in the Ice Show section under events.

• Starting Sunday, November 16, 2025, Ice Show registration tables will be set up in the arena lobby.

• A schedule of table dates and times will be released soon.

• Parents and skaters are welcome to visit the lobby tables to ask questions, receive guidance, and try on sample costume sizes before registering.

2. Registration Guide by Program

Pre-CanSkate ($85)

Skaters register for only their Pre-Can Ice Show number.

CanSkate / Tween / Teen ($85)

Skaters register for only their CanSkate Ice Show number.

Fundamentals ($85)

Skaters register for only their Fundamentals Ice Show number.

Rising Stars ($85)

Rising Stars register for the Rising Stars number only. They do not register for Fundamentals.

Adult STAR Skaters ($100)

Adult STAR skaters register only for the Adult STAR Skater Ice Show number.

STARSkate Programs

All STARSkaters must register for their level group number first.

• Pre-Bronze ($100)

• Bronze ($100)

• Silver ($100)

• Gold ($100)

Pre-Bronze Eligibility

• Registration in their level group number

• Feature (only if they meet STAR 2 eligibility)

Bronze, Silver, and Gold Eligibility

• Registration in their level group number

• Bonus Number

• Dance Court (if eligible)

• Feature (with audition)

• May skate in up to three programs (not including a Feature)

3. Additional Programs and Eligibility

Bonus Number ($85)

• Optional

• Available to Bronze, Silver, and Gold

• Must be registered at their level number first

• Includes two dedicated practices

Dance Court ($85)

• Skater must have passed at least one STAR 6 dance

• Must be registered in their level group number

• Optional

• Includes two dedicated practices

Features

• Feature Auditions: $20

• Ice Show Features 2026: $85

• Must be registered in the level group number

• Must have completed STAR 2 or completed STAR 2

• Auditions held February 11, 2026

• Features may include solo, duet, trio, or small group

PA Number

• Offered to all PAs of the 2025/2026 Season

• Free as a gift from the club for your hard work

5. Parent Authorization and Policies

• Skaters will attend all practices, run-throughs, Dress Rehearsal, and show performances

• Skaters will follow the coach and backstage instructions

• EYSC may photograph or film skaters

• EYSC is not responsible for lost items or accidents

• Parent authorization required

6. After You Register

• Check the casting list when posted

• Pick up costumes on designated dates

• Review the full rehearsal schedule

• Ensure the skater arrives on time for all practices

• Stay updated via emails, website, and lobby notices

7. Attendance Requirements

• Two practices for each number

• All group practices and run-throughs

• Dress Rehearsal on April 23, 2026

• All three Ice Show performances on April 24 and 25, 2026

Missing practices may affect participation.

Skater Code of Conduct

• Show respect to coaches, volunteers, and fellow skaters

• Follow instructions at all times

• Arrive prepared and on time

• Do not alter costumes

• Maintain positive behaviour

• Skaters may not miss more than one practice

8. Volunteer Requirements

• Each family must volunteer for at least two shifts

• Volunteers may bring their skater when arriving

Volunteer Roles

• Dressing room supervision

• Ushers and audience support

• Runners

• Program or ticket sales

• Set-up and take-down crew

Training will be provided.

9. Photo Day

Date TBD, but will be the second week of April.

Bring:

• Skates and hard guards

• Costume

• Skin-tone tights

• Neat hair

• Optional makeup

• Helmets not required

10. Costume Information

• Costumes come ready to wear

• Distributed before Photo Day

• Bring to all rehearsals and shows

• Hair and makeup instructions provided in April

11. Rehearsals and Schedule

Rehearsals: April 7–23, 2026 (two practices per number)

Dress Rehearsal (April 23):

• Volunteers 5:00 PM

• Skaters 5:30 PM

• Rehearsal 6:00–7:30 PM

• Show 1: April 24 at 7:30 PM

• Show 2: April 25 at 1:30 PM

• Show 3: April 25 at 7:00 PM

12. Practice Scheduling Notes

• Practices may not match your winter skating schedule

• CanSkate and Fundamentals may practice on Sundays or Thursdays

• STARSkate may practice any weekday
