Ice Show Committee:
Ever want to be behind the scenes in planning the Ice Show?
We are looking for some wonderful parents to join our Ice Show Committee! This is a great way to join the East York Skating Community. We have many key roles and have a spot for everyone: fundraising, sponsorships, photography/videography, marketing, finance, coordinating, food & beverage, flowers, sales & ticketing!
Our next meeting is via Zoom on Monday, December 2nd at 7:30pm. For any more information, please email our Ice Show Director, Sean - Sean.s.lamb@gmail.com
We are still looking for some volunteers to assist in the Lobby with Costume Info & Advertisements for the Ice Show!

Below is a link to our Costume Form. This form is also available on the main page of our website. Once you have registered, please complete ONE form per skater ASAP. This will help us group skaters quickly & pick their costumes!
ICE SHOW REGISTRATION - OPEN

The ice show is something we at the East York Skating Club are so proud to be able to offer to our members! This is an especially unique year as the East York Skating Club is celebrating our 75th Anniversary!
Online registration will be open from Wednesday, November 20th, 2024 @ 12 pm - Wednesday, December 4th @ 11:59 pm.
The Ice Show is a fun weekend for skaters of all levels to show off their new skills to family and friends while having memorable experiences which foster a love of sport and a passion for figure skating.
We invite all skaters (from pre-can to adult) to join the tradition!
**New** Skaters will register for the highest level they are at as of November 2024.
For example, if participants are registered in two levels, such as Pre-Bronze and Bronze, please register for the higher level, Bronze.
Registration Group Options:
- Pre-Can
- Canskate/Tween/Teen
- Fundamentals
- Adult Number - Canskate or Adult Stars + (need a min of 10 skaters to register)
- Rising Stars - will only register for this one (not Canskate/Fundamentals)
- Pre-Bronze
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold
- Bonus Number (Bronze/Silver/Gold Only)
- Dance Court (Must have passed 1 Star 6+ Dance as of November 2024)
- PA Number - Free for all 2024/2025 PA's!
- Details about Feature Auditions will be released soon. After the audition, if you have earned a feature, you will be notified and receive a link to register.
Fees include: Ice Fees, Practices in April, Coaching & Choreography, Costume Rental
During registration, carefully read the policies that appear in the payment section. Here are some key highlights:
- It is required for a parent/guardian to volunteer for 2 shows
- Ice Show practices are between April 3rd -23rd
- Skaters are not guaranteed to be scheduled for practices on the same day they usually skate.
- Skaters are required to attend all on-ice practices and must attend the dress rehearsal on Thursday, April 24.
- Skaters will perform in all 3 shows:
- Friday, April 25th (evening)
- 2 shows on Saturday, April 26th (afternoon & evening)
Measurements:
During registration, a policy will appear with our Costume Measurements form.
Please complete one for each skater! We have linked the form below.
We may need more specific measurements in the new year once we have organized the groups.
We can't wait to celebrate our 75th Anniversary with EVERYONE in the show!

WINTER GAMES - TEAMS

Tomorrow is the big Winter Games!
Attached are the teams for the event. Please come dressed in your team colours, feel free to have face paint, stickers etc! As long as you can see and skate.
The Games will take place from approximately 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Finally, we will be hosting our Competition Simulation Day on that same day from 4:40-5:50 p.m. This simulation will feature all of East York's competitive skaters & synchro teams.
There is no fee to watch, so come out and cheer on your fellow East York Skaters and see what our Starskaters are up to as they reach the higher star levels and competitive figure skating.
Our synchro teams will be hosting a cash-only bake sale. Visit us in the lobby to enjoy some treats!

Two more weeks until our BIG Simulation Day & Winter Games on Wednesday, November 20th!
As a reminder, registration for events will close on Friday, November 15th @ 11:59 pm.
Updated Schedule for Simulation Day & Winter Games:
- 4:10-4:25 pm: STAR 2-3 Warm-Up
- 4:25-4:40 pm: STAR 4+ Warm-Up
- 4:40-5:50 pm: Simulation Day
- 5:50-6:00 pm: Flood
- 6:00-8:00 pm: Winter Games
Winter Games Info:
- Rising Stars
- Pre-Bronze
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold
Please note that all regular sessions/lessons/off-ice are cancelled that day! Skaters who wish to participate must register.
The skaters will be put into groups and participate in various events, including jump competitions, field move competitions (spirals, shoot the ducks, spread eagle, etc) and races. This event offers skaters a chance to meet others while enjoying friendly competition!
Registration:
- Registration is $20/skater.
- Individuals who are registered for a weekly Wednesday session are required to register for grouping purposes; however, there will be NO associated fees as you are already enrolled on Wednesdays. Your invoice will reflect a total of $0.
- Once registration wraps up, we’re excited to share the teams and their team colours with you! Stay tuned!
All skaters are encouraged to come out and watch the Simulation Day before the Winter Games! Please come out and support your fellow East York Skaters & Synchro Teams as they showcase their routines for the competition season!
